In 2012, Garcia/Grisman Alternate was released digitally, featuring alternate takes of every tune on the original release.

David Grisman & Danny Barnes (Dawg & Danny) talk bluegrass music as they listen to tracks from the Grammy nominated Acoustic Disc release, Bluegrass Reunion, featuring the legendary Red Allen (Dawg’s first bluegrass boss) on guitar and vocals, Herb Pedersen on banjo and vocals, Jim Buchanan on fiddle and vocals, bassist Jim Kerwin and David Grisman on mandolin and vocals. The project also features a guest appearance by Jerry Garcia on vocals and guitar. The Deluxe Edition includes two additional bonus tracks with Garcia in his last bluegrass recording. Additionally, there's a recent digital Acoustic Oasis release, Bluegrass Reunion — Live at the Great American Music Hall, featuring the same stellar ensemble in concert during the week they recorded this album.

This team would produce the classic Folkways LP, Red Allen, Frank Wakefield & the Kentuckians later that year but this is where it started!
